The End!

I finally finished this story, that means more focus on my other ones.
Even though I am kind of sad this one is over, it was my first story ever after all!

Numero Trienta y Ocho

It seemed like everything froze, as we just stared at each other. Everyone else noticed it too, and as he slowly walked towards me I could hear people whispering all around me. We were all waiting for the moment.

As soon as it seemed like he couldn't get any closer, all eyes were on us. "Rae..." He said quietly.
I just looked at him and nodded. "....You look great." He continued. "Thanks." I said shyly. We just stood there for what seemed like centuries until he spoke up again. "Do you uh...want to go somewhere more private?" My mind told me 'no', that I should turn around and ignore him. After all the pain and trouble he caused me. But then my heart told me yes, I needed to know what he had to say because in all honesty, I never stopped loving him. "Sure." I replied. He started walking towards the door and I followed. I wasn't sure where we were going but I didn't really care either.

He led me to his car, and I quickly obliged to getting in. As we drove away we stayed in silence. I didn't ask where we were going. Soon we arrived at a familiar building, his apartment. I didn't get out at first, I was too deep in thought. He came around and opened my door. "Are you coming?" He asked innocently. I nodded my head and got out. We walked into his apartment and sat down on the couch. Just like Eleigh's apartment, everything still looked the same and even smelled the same. All of a sudden I felt him grab my hand. "Rae..." He said again, just like he did at the club. As if he had something to say but didn't know the right words. "Why?" I asked him. We both knew exactly what I was talking about. "I still love you, I always have." "That isn't an answer, that doesn't explain to me why you put me through all that shit." I said getting impatient. "I didn't want to hurt you anymore. The relationship wasn't working and I didn't think it ever would. I thought I could just get over it and get over you." "Oh that's great. It's was all about you and what you wanted, wasn't it." The anger evident in my voice. "Rae. Just stop. Listen to me. Yes that's how it was but, I thought it would benefit both of us in the end. It didn't end up working that way. I still love you and ever since you left I realized how much of a mess I made. How I ruined everything. I've tried moving on but, nothing helps. I miss you Rae, I really do." I sat there with thousands of thoughts running through my mind. It was hard not giving in to what he said, I mean I really did love him and I don't think he could hurt me anymore than he already had. What's the harm in giving it another shot? I looked up at him. I could sense the hope in his eyes. "I swear to God, if you EVER do anything like that to me again I will personally beat your ass." He smiled at me as he leaned over and kissed me. Sensing how much we missed each other I kissed back. I got on top of him. Soon enough he picked me up and took me to his bedroom. He crawled on top of me while sliding up my dress. I helped him take off his pants. As he leaned himself back onto me I seductively whispered in his ear. "I missed this the most."

A year later......






'Ring,Ring.' "Hello?" I asked. "Hey Rae, your coming up to Pittsburgh tomorrow right?" "Oh hey Eleigh, and yeah I am." "Thank God, I haven't seen you well, since you uh...left." "Yeah I know it's been to long, I just needed time." "Yeah I know, I'm just happy you are coming up. You know you can stay with me if you want." "Yeah I think I might just do that. Well, I have to go finish packing so I will call you when my flight lands tomorrow, Okay?" "Alright, see you. Have a safe flight."





I finished packing, took a quick shower, and went to bed early. My alarm woke me up early around 6:30. I slipped into some sweatpants, conveniently they were Jordan's that I had never given back. They stay in my drawers along with many of his sweatshirts and tshirts. I grabbed my luggage and got into my car. While driving to the airport butterflies hit my stomach. I would probably be faced with the one thing that started this all......Jordan.



Soon my plane landed in the all too familiar Pittsburgh. I sat down with the luggage and called Eleigh to come and pick me up. As I saw her walked towards me I stood up and she gave me a big hug. "I've missed you." "Me too." I replied. On our way back to her apartment she informed me that her and Sid were still together and that soon they were planning on buying a house together. We socialized about all of the old friends except for one that always seemed to be avoided, Jordan.



We finally arrived back at her apartment, as I walked in I noticed everything still looked the same except a few new pieces of furniture here and there. I walked into the guest room and put my stuff in the closet. I walked out to Eliegh and announced that I was going to take a shower and get ready. I guess we were going to go out to the clubs with everyone tonight, as a sort of welcome back reunion. While in the shower thoughts kept running through my mind and I couldn't help but feel sad. I honestly missed Pittsburgh and living here. It was my home. After a long hot shower I faced the fact that I had to get out sometime. I got out and blew dry my hair. I was going to straighten it. I mean, its the first time in a year everyone has seen me, I had to look my best.



After making sure I had finished getting ready I walked out of the room. "Wow Rae, you look amazing." I heard Eleigh say. I looked over myself in the body length mirror in the hallway. Wearing a deep blue mini dress that clung to me and made all my curves look good including my boobs I had to admit I did look good. "Wow, Rae is that you?" I turned and saw Sidney standing by the door. "The one and only." I smiled at Sid as I walked over to him and gave him a hug. "Yeah doesn't she look good? If only I could get as tan as her" Eleigh chimed in. "Yeah well that's what happens when you spend all your time in Florida. I said. "Well we better get going to the club, don't want to be late!" said Sid. I slipped into my silver sparkly pumps and grabbed the matching clutch and headed towards the door. Sidney drove. On the way there I could feel the nerves building up inside of me. I was not only nervous to see all my old friends but, I was nervous for the fact that Jordan could be there.



As we walked into the club I took a deep breath. Eleigh leaned over and whispered in my ear, you'll be fine. I gave her a small smile as we walked into the VIP room. A bunch of people were already there. Everyone turned and looked my way. Max came up to me and gave me a huge hug. "It's been far too long." "Agreed." I said as I smiled at him. Out of all the people, he was one of the ones I had missed the most. Suddenly I felt arms around my waist, as soon as I turned around a huge smile spread across my face, even Colby had come. After chatting with Colby and Max for a little bit I looked over towards a group of guys, almost all of them Penguins players. Suddenly the group of guys dispersed. It was then that I noticed it. The tall blonde with icy blue eyes that caught mine.

"Yeah. Let's go somewhere more private." He replied while walking past everyone and into the only bedroom that was in the basement near us. I quietly followed behind him. People were giving us skeptical looks left and right. I tried to ignore it by looking at the ground. I walked in the room and noticed Jordan was already sitting on the bed. I went over and sat by him. Looking at him, I realized the truth. No matter what, I really loved Jordan. I finally decided to say something. "What's going on between us Jordan?" "I really don't know." We sat there again in silence, neither of us knowing what to say. Suddenly he spoke up. "Honestly Rae, I think you need to go back to Florida and we should see other people. This, just isn't working and I can't deal with it or you anymore." I looked away from him. I couldn't believe he just said that. I mean, I wasn't expecting everything to go right back to the way it was but, I thought eventually we would get back together. I sat there holding back the tears that tried to force their way out. I wasn't going to let him see me cry. I got up without saying anything and walked away. "Rae.." Jordan said right before I left the room. I ignored him and kept walking. I ran past everyone and went upstairs ignoring the people calling my name behind me. I slipped on my shoes, got in my car and went straight to Eleigh's to get my things. I messily packed everything up and got back in my car. The next thing I know I was at the airport booking the next flight for Florida. I didn't care that I was leaving Sean there, I'm sure him and Jordan will get on just fine without me. About an hour later a lady came over the loud speaker announcing it was time to board the flight. The lady checking my ticket gave me a smile that I couldn't return. I silently went to my seat and sat down. Resting my head on the back of the chair, I finally let the tears fall. Throughout the plane ride I continuously ignored the phone calls I was getting. Not even checking who was calling, I would click ignore. I didn't want to talk to anyone. I just needed to be on my own. It was very late when I arrived home considering I boarded the plane around 12:00 o clock. I was lucky there was a flight still going out at that time. I walked in to my empty house and right up to my room. I crawled into bed and for the first time in years cried myself to sleep. The next morning I woke up, turned on the TV, and just stayed in bed. The constant vibrating of my phone was getting on my nerves so I just turned the damn thing off. Even though I was watching TV I wasn't paying attention to what was going on. Nothing seemed to matter to me. Hunger, thirst, and things like going to the bathroom never seemed to phase me. Next thing I know it was dark outside again and I drifted off to a tired less sleep. The next few days went on like that. Suddenly the hunger overtook me and I went downstairs to get something to eat. I grabbed some cereal and went back upstairs. I decided I should at least check my phone and let everyone know I'm still living. I turned on my phone and realized I had like a million calls, texts, and/or voice mails. All consisting of people including; Eleigh, Sidney, Sean, Max, My Dad, and last but not least.....Jordan. I stopped and stared at his name for a second. I couldn't believe he had the nerve to try and talk to me. I went back to Eleigh's name and texted her back. 'I'm fine, don't worry about me.' I went through all the other texts and calls and deleted them. Eleigh was the only one I felt necessary to talk to considering she would probably tell everyone else I'm okay. She quickly replied, just like I was expecting.
'Oh my God, don't ever scare us like that again. What the fuck were you thinking? Where are you?'
I replied back; 'Sorry, don't worry about me or where I am. I'm okay.'
I didn't want her knowing I was back at home because knowing her she would come down here and see me. Which seeing people was the last thing I wanted right now. My phone vibrated again, I was expecting it to be from Eleigh so I quickly opened it. I was wrong.
'Rae, Seriously where are you? -Jordan'
I just didn't understand what the hell he wanted from me and why he kept trying to get ahold of me. You think by now he would get it that I didn't want to talk to him or see him.
'You honestly think of all people I would tell you where I am right now?'
My phone vibrated as Jordan replied.
'Even though we aren't together anymore I still care about you Rae.'
I read the text over and over again while tears began to cloud my vision. As I shut my phone I put my head down and yet again fell asleep. The only way I could forget everything.

Everyone noticed that it landed on me, they all looked at each other unsure of what was going to happen. I looked at Jordan who once again had the stupid smirk on his face. I got up and so did he. We stood there for a second just staring at each other. If it had been anyone else the guys would have yelled something along the lines of 'hurry the fuck up' or 'get it over with already' but, they all knew the circumstance and were watching intently for our next move. We moved closer to each other until I could feel his hot breath on my face. His eyes were fixed on mine, filled with lust. I'm sure mine looked the same. Slowly he wrapped his arms around my waist, my arms linked loosely around his neck, both of us unsure. Neither of us wanted to wait anymore. His lips came down onto mine. The kiss getting more vigorous as the time went by. My hands found there way through his hair, my arms linking tighter around his neck. His hands moving from my waist to the small of my back, pulling me closer as he did so. Soon his hands found there way down to my ass. I let my hands roam along his arms and chest, feeling his muscles tense up as I did. Forcefully I felt myself being pushed up against a wall. I could hear the 'gasps' of some people around us, not expecting this at all. His hands cupped under my upper thigh pulling me up against the wall. "Okay WOW! enough is enough. I do not want to see you two fucking the shit out of each other in front of me, and I'm sure I am not the only one. I mean it was just an innocent game of 'spin the bottle'. Leave it up to you two to turn it into some goddamn porno!" Max joked. I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks. Jordan and I looked at each other and he set me down. As we both walked over to sit back down, Malone and Colby both whistled. "I don't think anyone can beat that one for tonight." Marc-Andre said. "Yeah, I think we need to officially call it quits for this game." Sid replied. Kris Letang leaned over. "What the hell was that?" He whispered in my ear. "Good question." "You guys just can't keep away from each other." "I guess you could say that." I replied. People started getting up one by one and busying themselves with other things. I just got up and sat on the couch. I could tell that people were whispering and discussing what just went on between Jordan and I. I looked around the room and noticed Jordan was quietly talking to Sidney in the corner by the bar. Eleigh was with them but, she caught my eye and came over to sit with me. "Wow Rae. That was, a bit unexpected." "Your telling me." "You guys are the weirdest couple, I swear to God." "haha I know right, leave it up to me." "So what exactly does this mean for you two?" "psh the hell if I know." "Well are you going to talk to him?" "I mean I suppose I should but, it seems a tad bit awkward." I took a quick glance at Jordan and I caught him staring at me. "Oh come on, you have to talk to him." "ehh I don't know." "I wasn't asking, now get your ass over there before that blonde bitch sticks her tongue down your mans throat again." She pushed me up off the couch. "Your a bitch you know that?" I joked with her. She just smiled at me. I reluctantly walked over to Jordan. Sid noticed me coming so he realized that was his cue to leave. I stood in front of Jordan, we just stared at each other. I could feel that every one's eyes in the room were on us. I decided to speak up first, I couldn't stand the tension. "Jordan? Can we....uhhh....talk?"

My throbbing headache wasn't much help the next morning. I opened my eyes only to quickly shut them closed and pull my covers over my head. After what felt like five minutes I got up and went to the bathroom. I glanced in the mirror and noticed how terrible I looked. I decided I needed a shower. When I got out I wrapped a towel around me and went out of them room. I wasn't surprised when I saw Jordan sleeping on the couch. I walked right past him and went into the kitchen to get a water bottle. I then proceeded to go into the bathroom and get a couple of aspirins, I needed something to make this hangover go away. I went back into Jordan's room and started to pack up my things. I wanted to get away before Jordan woke up and luckily I did. I sat in my car, staring ahead thinking of where to go. I decided to call Eleigh. 'ring,ring,ring' "Hello?" "Rae?" "uh yeah, Hey." "What's up? Is everything alright?" "Considering Jordan and I aren't on the greatest terms, I don't really have anywhere to stay and well....-" "Would you like to stay with me?" She asked. "Well, yes actually that would be quite nice." "haha alright come by whenever." "okay I'm on my way."


I got myself settled in at Eleigh's and we were watching TV on her couch when Sid walked. Eleigh welcomed him with a hug at the door. They came back over to the couch hand in hand and sat down next to me. "Hey Rae." Sid said. "Hey." Eleigh snuggled up next to him. Ugh who I was I kidding, watching them together drived me insane. I couldn't stand watching them be all over each other. I got up and decided I would try to take a nap, or something. "Hey Rae, where are you going?" Eleigh asked. "Uh I'm tired, I'm just going to go lie down." "Alright." I went into the guest room, where I was temporally staying and started unpacking my things. After everything was unpacked I noticed I couldn't find my purse. 'Shit' I thought to myself. I left it at Jordan's. I quickly slipped on my Uggs and left for Jordan's. "Rae, Where are you going?" Sid asked before I could slid out the door. "I left something at Jordan's and I have to go get. Wish me luck." Before he could reply I shut the door and hurried out to my car. I wanted to get this over with. Seeing Jordan and having to talk to him was not something I was too thrilled about. I arrived at his apartment and reluctantly dragged myself up the stairs. 'Knock,Knock' The sound of my fist against his door echoed throughout the empty hallway and made me even more nervous to see him. He opened the door and a smirk crept along his face. "Forget something?" He asked with a cocky edge to his voice. He knew that I hated having to come here and see him. "Yeah, actually." I replied. "Well, come on in." He smiled and motioned for me to enter. "So..What's up." He asked. I could tell he was trying to piss me off by acting like nothing happened. "I didn't come here to talk to you, nor do I want to. I just want to get my purse so I can leave." "Someones a bit touchy today, eh?" I ignored him. "Alright, follow me I'll help you get your purse or whatever." I followed him into his TV area only to be shocked by who I saw. "Sean what the hell are you doing here?" "What? You said he was a cool guy, so I thought I would hang out with him." Jordan added in. He was really starting to piss me off. "Jor can I talk you alone?" "Of course babe." He winked at me. Even though he was pissing me off, I had to admit that part of me thought it was cute. Considering the fact he looked fucking hot also added on to that. I started walking into his room and he followed. "Oh so this is what your after, taking me into the bedroom." He teased. "Trust me, if that was what I was after I wouldn't be coming here." "oh ouch." "Can you just give me my purse?" "Oh I'm not quite sure if I know where it is." I knew he was lying. "Honestly what do you want from me?" "Oh you know what I want from you." He ran his hand along my thigh. "Yeah well that makes one of us." As much as I hated to admit it, that was a huge lie. I wanted him and he knew it. He slowly walked closer to me. "Don't kid yourself." "Shut the fuck up." I replied. I had enough of his stupid games. Even though deep inside I was enjoying it. "Oh I like it when your mad." I soon felt the wall against my back. I then realized as Jordan was inching closer to me, I was backing up. Until I couldn't anymore. I was trapped. "Jordan stop being an asshole and just give me my purse." He leaned in, his hot breath against my ear. "Fine, If that's the way you want it." He walked into his closet and came out with it. "Here." He handed it to me. I turned around and started to walk out. Before I left I looked at Sean. "Oh and if you are going to be hanging out with him while you are up here, I don't want to have anything to do with you." I turned around and left without looking back. I drove back to Eleigh's and went straight to my room. I didn't really feel like talking to anyone. All I could think about was Jordan and that's just the way he wanted it.

I must have drifted off to sleep because the next thing I know I was being woke up by my cell phone going off, signaling I had a text message. It was from Max Talbot. It said; 'Party at my house tonight, come over.' I wasn't really sure if I wanted to go. I knew Jordan would be there. Yet in the end I decided to go. I wasn't going to let him ruin my time while I was up here.

I hit reply. 'I'll definitely be there ;]'

I crawled out of bed and hopped in the shower. I needed to look good tonight, especially if Jordan was going. I decided to wear tight dark skinny jeans that made my ass look good, a low cut white tank top with a light blue unbuttoned sweater over it. I straightened my hair and applied some makeup. Slid on my black high heels and headed out the door. Sid and Eleigh were already there before I had even left. I suppose you could say I was being fashionably late. I parked on the street, considering Max's driveway was already packed with cars. I knocked on the door and waited. Max opened the door. "Well damnnnnnnnn Rae. You look good." "Haha thanks, I gave him a hug and walked in. "Everyone is downstairs, let's go." Max grabbed my hand and led me to the basement. I look around and pretty much the whole team was there.........including Jordan. I walked over to Colby who was pouring drinks. "Here you go Rae." "Thanks." Through out the night everyone drank huge amounts of alcohol. I soon found myself in the midst of a game of 'spin the bottle'. It was Jordan's turn and it landed on some blonde girl I've never seen before. He smirked at me before sticking his tongue down her throat. A kiss that lasted a little to long for my liking. Finally it was my turn. I spun it and it landed on none other than Max. I got up and walked towards him. At first it started as an innocent kiss but then he placed his hand on my lower back pulling my closer to him. My hands found there way around his neck also pulling him closer to me. I wasn't really paying attention to how long that was going on for but we were interrupted. "Okay you two, enough already." Marc-Andre said. I blushed and pulled away. I looked at Jordan and smiled before I sat back down. Two can play at this. The game was pretty tame after that. I got a kiss from Kris, Colby and Marc but, nothing to the extent of Max's. I wasn't really paying much attention until I realized it was Jordan's turn again and......it landed on me.

I walked back up to Jordan's apartment. "Hey babe is there a problem with Sean or something?" I asked as I sat down next to him on the couch. "uh...not really." He answered hesitantly. "Not really?" "Yeah, just forget it. Let's just go out to get something to eat." "Uh alright." "I'll invite a bunch the team since you haven't seen any of them in forever." I nodded my head and smiled as he got up and went to grab his cell phone. "Oh and can you make sure that Sid brings Eleigh?" I asked. I hadn't talked to her in forever. "Will do." He walked into his bedroom while dialing a phone number. I needed to get ready so I went into Jordan's bathroom and got in the shower. After a couple minutes I heard the shower door sliding open. "Yes?" I asked. He stared at me for a minute. "Jordan?" "Oh uh yeah. Just wanted to let you know that pretty much everyone is coming. The only ones that are not are the unimportant ones we never really hung out with." "....and you couldn't of waited to tell me until I got out of the shower?" "eh no, I prefer this view anyways." I rolled my eyes and shut the shower door. "You love me, don't try and deny it." He said while still standing there. "Yeah you keep telling yourself that." I joked. He once again opened the shower door. "You love me, just admit it." "If I admit it will you let me finish my shower?" "ah maybe." "Jordan, we are gonna be late." "Hey it's not my fault." "Okay fine I love you." "I know, how could you not." I took the head of the shower and pointed it at him. "Uncalled for!" He yelled. "tehe. What are you gonna do about it?" I teased. "This." He got in the shower with his clothes still on. "Jor--" I was cut off by him kissing me. After I was out of breath I decided we really needed to get going. "Jordan we are going to be late and I hate being late." "Hey, you brought this on yourself." He said while taking off his soaking wet clothes and throwing them out of the shower. "What so you are punishing me now?" "You could call it that." He said while winking at me. "ugh the things I have to put up with." I said while pulling myself closer to him. I let my hands roam around his upper thighs while I left a trail of kisses down his neck and stomach. When I reached down by his cock I did what I knew he wanted. When he had had enough of that he pulled me back up, shoved me against the wall and pushed into me. Once we had finished our task at hand we both got out and started to get dressed. I went over to my suitcase and dumped it out on his bed. I had no time to be neat. I searched through my clothes until I found something to wear. I decided on a short, red plaid, pleated school girl skirt and a black sweater from Hollister. I finished off the outfit with black knee socks and my UGGs. I settled on leaving my hair curly and wearing my favorite diamond necklace and earrings. Once I had finished my makeup I walked out and over to Jordan. "Well damn." He commented. "Let's go."We are already insanely late because of you. "You wanted it." "I never denied that but, that still makes it your fault." We jokingly argued about the topic until we arrived at the restaurant. It was a nice Italian place that we used to always go to with the team before I had moved so I found it appropriate to go there again. We walked in and up to the lady at the front. "Hello Mr. Staal I'll show you to your table." As we were being shown to our table Jordan put his hand on the small of my back and walked closer to me. "Are you ready?" He whispered in my ear. "Not at all." I replied. To be honest I was extremely nervous to see everyone again. I had no idea what their thoughts of me were. Considering they were all on Jordan's side during our whole fight. Who knows what he had told them. As I looked at the table it was just as I suspected, everyone was already there. I looked at the time on my cell phone real quick. We were an hour late. "FINALLY." Max yelled. As he said that, everyone turned and looked at us. Which made me even more nervous. "Damn, what were you guys getting it on before you left or something?" Colby asked. I could feel my cheeks getting red. Neither I or Jordan said anything, we just looked at each other. "EW they were!" Max said. "Anyways..." Jordan said. I walked over to Eleigh. "Rae! It's been too long." She exclaimed while getting up and hugging me. "I know I have missed you so much." "Same here, we need to hang out while you are up here. You have a lot to tell me about everything." "Oh I know and same for you. I see you and Sid are still together." "Yes we are." She said while kissing him on the cheek. I walked around the table saying 'Hi' to everyone and giving them hugs. Colby and Malone were there for some reason. I guessed probably because it was around Thanksgiving so they had time off. After finally getting around the whole table I went and sat next to Jordan. He put his hand on my thigh and leaned over to whisper in my ear. "You did good." I replied by smiling at him and kissing him on the cheek. "Okay you two. You can hold off for a few hours, I hope." Colby said. "I wouldn't be too sure with her." Eleigh added. "Ha Ha very funny you guys." I replied.

Throughout dinner we talked about pretty much everything. I was the main topic of the evening, of course. I told everyone about my life in Florida and all that good stuff. It seems like every time I meet people now a days all they want to talk about is my life. It was around 11:30 when I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I looked at the caller ID. It was Sean. 'Shit' I thought to myself. I didn't even think about inviting him to dinner with us. "Hey Sean." I said while answering the phone. "Hey Rae, I just wanted to let you know I am all settled in my hotel and everything." "OOO Who is Sean?" Fleury asked. I ignored it but, Jordan replied for me anyways. "Some guy she brought up from Florida." "Jord I'd keep an eye on her if I were you." Malone added in. "Oh trust me, I know." He replied. "Excuse me Jordan? What is that supposed to mean?" I exclaimed. "Nothing, just get back to your phone call with your new best friend." He snapped. "WOW Jordan what is your problem with Sean?" "Rae, just leave it alone." "Rae?" I heard on the other end of the phone. "Oh yeah, sorry Sean. Can I call you back?" "Uh...Yeah no problem." I hung up the phone and put it in my purse. "No, I will not leave it alone. I bring a friend up to meet you and all you can do is act like an ass." "Rae, I told you I'm not dealing with this or you right now." He said under his breath. I could tell he didn't want to make a scene in front of everyone. "Will you excuse us for a minute." I said to everyone while grabbing Jordan's arm and pulling him with me. I took him outside so we could talk. "Jordan what is wrong with you?" "Oh don't give me that." "Give you what?" "I see the way the Sean guy acts around you." "We are just friends Jordan."
