"Oh how nice of you to finally show up!" My dad said to me. "Yeah." I started walking towards the stairs. "Where do you think you are going?" He asked. "Upstairs." "Get over here, I'm not done with you." I unwillingly walked over to where he was standing. "What the hell did you think you were doing? Or did you even think at all, because I know that's something you're not big on." I didn't reply. I had no idea what he expected me to say. "Well? I mean you could of had the decency to go to your own boyfriends house, instead of running to some other guy." "You know what, I heard enough shit from Jordan and I don't want to hear it from you." "Oh really? I don't care what you want to hear, because you are going to listen." I wanted to yell at him, turn around and then leave but, I knew doing that would only make things worse. For the first time in awhile I just stood there instead of fighting back. "Tomorrow morning you are getting on a plane to Detroit. You're going to live with your older brother, so someone can keep an eye on you." "What the fuck! Are you serious? What about my job? What about Rissa and Kane? I can't just leave all my friends!" "You are going to work with your older brother Blaine, it's already set up. The maid and butler will be on full watch of Kane and Rissa. As for your friends, that's not my problem." "And you expect me to get all my clothes and things packed by tomorrow morning?" "Go upstairs now, pack what you really need and as much as you can. When you get there and settled you can buy more clothes and whatever else you left behind." I had nothing to say. I slowly turned around and walked up to my room. I grabbed my phone and texted Eliegh.
'My dads sending me to live with my older brother in Detroit'
'What the hell! You have got to be kidding me.'
'I'm serious. Jordan told my dad he would bring me home and after that he told me he needed space. Whatever, fuck him. Everything is so messed up.'
'When are you leaving?'
'Tomorrow morning, probably early.'
'So I won't have a chance to say goodbye?'
'Probably not. Well I'll talk to you later, I've got to pack. Bye.'
'I'll miss you. Bye'
I shut my phone, grabbed my suitcase and started packing.
The next morning my dad woke me up at 6:00 am. This is bullshit. I got up, put on some sweatpants and a t-shirt. I had no one to impress nor did I care. I took my suitcases, walked downstairs and put them in the trunk. I slid into the passengers seat. My dad was already in the car. We were in silence the whole way to the airport. It reminded me of the ride back to Pittsburgh the night before that Jordan and I had. We pulled in the parking lot and my dad parked the car. "Here is your ticket. The flight is at 7:45." I unbuckled my seat belt and opened the door. "Look Rae I'm only trying to help you." I didn't say anything. I got out of the car. "Bye Rae, love you." I didn't even want to speak to him, let alone look at him so I just closed the door and got my suitcases out of the trunk. I got into the airport, it was 7:25. I went through security and all that fun stuff. Then I walked over and boarded the plane. I found my seat and sat down. The plane soon took off leaving my life behind me. My job, my best friends, my ex-boyfriend or whatever you want to call him, my family. Everything. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep. What felt like 10 minutes later, I was woken up by the flight attendent. "We have arrived." She smiled at me. I tried to smile back and make it sincere, but I could tell she saw right through it. I grabbed my things, walked out into the parking lot. I saw my brothers car and started walking over to it. But instead of Blaine standing by his car waiting, it was someone else.
